Hey, I just got back from an advance screening of this movie and all I can say is I have not laughed this hard in a while. The whole cast shines, mostly Zach Galifianakis who is fantastic. The laughs are a plenty, and they're spaced well enough that you don't miss any jokes. I'm not gonna give too much away, but check this movie out. The screening was packed and at the end of the movie there was a surprise appearance by Philly native Bradley Cooper who plays the lead in the movie, he did a short Q & A and was a truely great guy. Anyway, hope to see ya at the movies!

This doesn't come out until June (or July), but I saw the preview last night during commercials.

This is a movie based on the novel of the same name by Jodi Picoult, who is one of my favorite authors. I can't say much from the preview, except it seems mis-cast. The girl from Miss Sunshine plays the lead character, and it looked like the oldest daughter from Medium plays her sister, and they may fit. However, Alec Baldwin plays the attorney. Sure, attorneys are slick, and Alec fits that (always has) but the attorney in MSK isn't slick in the traditional sense. And Cameron Diaz, who plays the mother, seems too bubbly and carefree for the subject matter. The book is anything but bubbly, and I don't know if Diaz has the depth.

I hope I'm wrong. It's a great book, and I'd like it to translate into a great film. The last couple of attempts at Picoult novels haven't been very good at all.

It was in Juno when I realized this guy doesn’t have much depth as an actor, even a comedic actor... Judging by the trailer, it looks like his typecasting continues in Year One. This one also features Jack Black, an actor with much more depth. He also has a proven track record, ranging from Orange County and King Kong, to Kung Fu Panda. These two actors look mediocre together and Cera could have benefited more from Jonah Hill being in this, his Superbad counterpart.

Attributes

Appearing completely out of the blue (at least to me!) is the first feature film from Duncan Jones, who surprisingly, is David Bowie’s first son. Moon, starring Sam Rockwell, does reek of 2001-style undertones, however with Rockwell’s screen presence, it seems more human. Don’t get me wrong, 2001 is one of my favorite films of all time, but you really have to let yourself go to really enjoy it.

I loved the original "Pelham". It's the kind of movie that feels like your own discovery. I adore Walter Matthau, and have lots of respect for Robert Shaw. I like both of them a zillion times more than Travolta or Washington, so this kind of feels like a dilution.

It'd probably be more fun to see the original after the new version, if you haven't seen it. And maybe it's dated, I haven't seen it for a while. Just thinking about it makes me want to re-watch some of Matthau's tough guy roles, like "Charlie Varrick".

That being said, though, it really seems to me that the best marketing plan for Up really is, "We're Pixar. Have we let you down before?" It's a phenomenally tough sell, and it says something about the firm that they'd rather risk a commercial failure to let a director have their free run on a movie rather than play it safe (although Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 might satisfy the latter). Up is a remarkably hard movie to market, and I'm actually not sure if audiences will react to it the same way they did to Pixar's other films.

I hope Dan Brown has learned how to write an ending.

All of his books start off very interesting, but about 75% of the way through, he loses focus and writes a hurried ending. "Da Vinci Code" code fizzles out, and the book ending of "Angels and Demons" is quite silly. ("Digital Fortress" is even worse)

I have to admit to being quite excited about the new movie. I wanted to see this movie this weekend but I may have to go alone! (My family has the nerve to have other plans.) The trailers, on my first page about Disney’s Earth movie are absolutely amazing. I have not seen the Planet Earth series although it appears on the Top 10 Blu-ray Movies list and is on my must-see list so I do not have to worry about having seen any of the Earth film before.

To me, the film resembled a teen high school version of the popular syndicated sitcom “Friends,” because both have the same rather eccentric jokes and inappropriate situations which become more comfortable after a slight ruckus. The scenes of Efron trying to convince his teen kids to change are rather amusing as is the moment when he is caught romancing his older wife, as a teenager. But it is still a nice enough laugh full of traditional family values and the right tone -without overdoing the whole silly twist .

Mathew Perry is deplorable which proves that Friends didn’t do much for him. Therefore, 17 Again would be a very boring movie if not for Thomas Lennon, who plays a rich eccentric with a passion for movie characters, making you laugh once in a while. Other than that, this film is another failed attempt to bring a jaded audience to moments of joy and enlightenment.

All in all, I wasn't interested in Terminator Salvation. But when I looked into it, I was surprised how promising the movie seemed. It might be too good to be true, but I think the movie might actually be lovable. Because of the nature of the Terminator series, I won't recommend you watch it. However, I won't recommend for you to stay away. I am 75% sure it will be a worthwhile film, but only time can tell.

I think Seth Rogans B.O.B. was the runaway scene stealer. I loved everything he did.

Oh sh**. The theater's owner runs to the projection room to see what's up and asks the writers to fill time while he fixes the problem. They answer a few questions and a man comes up the stairs wearing a hat and coat and carrying a film canister... it's... LEONARD NIMOY.

Leonard asks "Why not show the 10 minutes of new footage while we're waiting?" And then it happens...

He talks about how the film is premiering in Australia in just a few hours and that... “JJ made a good movie, why only show 10 minutes of it?” He asked "Who wants to only see 10 minutes of the movie?" to silence then "Who wants to watch the whole thing?" The crowd naturally goes wild with geek bliss, cheers, and howls. My neighbor destroyed her beer glass she was so excited.

The brand new Star Trek comes onto the screen.

Best film experience of my life, bar none.

A recent tracking report showed there is still a large amount of people that want to see it. The movie ranked No.1 for young males and men aged 31 and older, which is clearly the target audience. With these developments, it seems like the people at Fox will breathe a little easier.
Hearing all of this makes me wonder, did Fox maybe plan the leak?

This may seem like a little conspiracy theory, but it didn’t really seem to hurt them at all. In fact, all of the buzz generated by the leak may have even helped them a bit and it may have given them enough time to edit any of the problems people wrote about. In theory, if you leak a film and people don’t like it, you can change it. Plus, it did create a lot of buzz and sympathy for the film.

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster are back to reprise their role in the fourth and probably the best Fast & Furious movie to date. Even Han from Tokyo Drift made a cameo. If ever Vin Diesel is planning to do another one, the story must be deeper, the action more intense and the cars much faster than Fast & Furious 4. Right from the first truck-jacking scene, the audience was made to experience action packed sequences not scene from the previous F&F movies.

If you haven't picked up on it yet, there isn't much of a plot in this movie. The film wanders aimlessly, is superfluously ambiguous and has too many loose ends that go unexplored. But the movie does work as a temporary distraction from the monotony of life in general.

It also has some moments of unintentional comedy, which is perhaps a good thing considering the intended moments of comedy more or less fall flat.

The car chases definitely deliver and there are cars of all shapes, sizes and, perhaps most importantly, speeds.

While car fetishists might have cause for celebration, audience members should turn their minds off, buckle up and get taken on a ride that's dumb and loud, but fun nonetheless.

Waste of time, nothing else.
I don't know whether is Disney trying to keep that old quality or try something new.
This, for sure, is horrible.
Teen idols, annoying voice, obvious story = save your money, don't watch this.
